These ink and soluble graphite drawings are abstract responses to the memory of the landscape in North Karelia. They draw on experiences of the elements, spirit life in certain places and visual and sound motifs. In making these pieces I was searching for an authentic mark that reflects the interplay of order and chaos in nature. They are mainly larger scale works (55cm x 55cm) with smaller pieces at 55cm x 20cm.
