These ink and soluble graphite drawings are abstract responses to the experiences of the landscape in North Karelia made during an artists residency at Koli National Park. They draw on a sensing of the elements, spirit life in certain places and visual and sound motifs from the lakes and forest. In making these pieces I was searching for an authentic mark that reflects the interplay of order and chaos in nature. These works are approx 29cm x 29cm.
